We are notifying all clients on the ADN server that we are migrating so you can be aware of the changes and be prepared.
Why are we migrating that server?
We are migrating to update to better hardware (CPU, RAM, Disk, etc.). CPU, RAM, and Disk space are something we feel could be improved on several of our cPanel nodes and therefore we are taking the necessary steps to provide server configurations that offer much more powerful CPUs, additional RAM, and larger NVMe disks.
How long will the migration take?
The length of time until completion depends on the amount of data being transferred, however, typical migrations take approximately 12 hours from start to finish.
Is there anything I need to do?
If you have purchased the domain from ADN, we will change your DNS from you. If you do not have purchased the domain from ADN, we will be forwarding DNS to the new server, you should immediately update your nameservers at your registrar for any/all domains in the account to the new nameservers for that server specified in the migration email notification.
***Failure to update the nameservers of your domain will cause your domains to stop working once we retire the old server***
If you are not using our nameservers and are only pointing to that server's IP, please make sure to update to the new server IP at your registrar, etc.
When will I receive the new server information?
The updated server information will be sent in the server migration email notification before we start the migration process.
What will be transferred?
Accounts will be fully/completely transferred as-is. This includes all data, databases, email accounts, and account settings. All login information will remain the same, so sending new account login information should not be necessary. However, if you would like a copy of the updated information for your records, it can be sent to you upon request.
Can I continue to work on my website?
Beginning from 10 pm the server is scheduled for migration; you should refrain from making any changes to your current account/website on the old server as those changes/updates may not be transferred to the new server and be permanently lost.
